Every time I think I've found everything at my farm site, I find something else.
I've dug over 90 coins at this site.

The best for the day was this 1886 Victoria Penny.

Taps.

I thought I had my first sterling fork, but was just another silver plate.

Thanks for looking and happy digging.

Nice penny, quite a lot of detail.

Hi BryanM362
It's a british victoria penny, they were used up until 1911 when Australia started minting our own.

I found a 1890 Victoria half penny today, and an early Australian penny

Man you keep making finds like that and you'll have a bunch of yanks invading with detectors in hand! Well one anyway, me, and I don't take prisoners when I'm down under ;) Hehh hehh. Cool find with the taps. I wish that the Australian mint had used the same alloy for their early pennies. There's a park in Perth that I pulled 30 of the old large cents out of, king georges mostly and some young victorias, but I only managed a few keepers that were not to deteriorated. That 1916 is in good nic compared too what I pulled.
Nice stuff :)
