I'd have to see the front (the obverse) but dateless Buffalo Nickels are common. The date area is a known high-wear point. Yours looks unusually shiny, at least per the pic. Was it cleaned? Just asking because typically a dateless Buffalo looks very circulated.

Just brushed them. They were pulled out of the ground around my house which is .5 miles away from the Battle of Saratoga. Bemis Heights location. I do have pictures of the front of them.

^^This. I've used it numerous times, works like a charm. You never know when it may be a key date.

Jewelry tools. I make and repair jewelry. I have dremel tools that clean precious metals. I also make gold bullion. On newer coins, I will use a dremel tool. For really old coins, I will use jewelry tools. I also have a coin that many people don't know about. I will show pics.

I clean dug buffs and a shield nickel with apple cider vinegar and a little peroxide to see if I can pull dates but they don't shine after I'm done they look like this.

It takes about 24 hrs to get them this clean. They don't shine but sure do clean up and show detail.

They still make that stuff? I've got a bottle of Nic-a-Date that's over 40 yrs old. Haven't tried it lately, but I remember it working pretty well.......just don't leave it on too long.
