Brooch?

Here's an interesting item that i found in my favorite hunting spot. (my backyard) I really have no idea what it is but i think it's brass. Pretty sure the stones are NOT real and looks like it's missing the middle stone. It's approx. 3" from bottom to top.

A brooch would have a pin back, your item is more likely a sash buckle.

Hmm, i never considered a sash buckle. Thanks to you both for looking at whatever it may be. I do think it's old.
