Not waterproof and not good for gold. I am not saying you can't find gold with with it but there are detectors out there that suit gold much better. I know one is the AT Gold and Whites has them so does Fischer and i am sure there are others. I would think you would need to spend in the $600+ range for a decent gold detector

Not waterproof and not good for gold. I am not saying you can't find gold with with it but there are detectors out there that suit gold much better. Saw one for 60 is all

For $60 they work well as coin shooters but anything else is more like a ring or jewelry ringing up like a coin. I have one and found over $500 in coins in less than 6 months before I upgraded.
