Worth metal detecting around a iron furnace

I know of one old iron furnace around my camp it's about a 3-4 mile hike I wanted to know if it's worth metal detecting. Would there be any coins or relics. Also it's right beside a little stream.

Depending on the furnace, someone might want it to restore, or just as a decorative thing.

Expect to get many iron hits. Slag would be all over.

Would it be worth it? Maybe, but patience would be key.

I believe blog 10 is talking about an old mill. Not an actual heating furnace you find in your basement. But if you're joking, it's funny. It's funny either way.

Yeah I am talking about a iron furnace in the wood from early 1800's. I just wanted to know if it's worth it because it about a 4 mile hike there and back.
