poured piece of lead…any ideas what it is?

Found this piece of lead while detecting a site I am working with rock carvings. My first guess is that it is a lead counter weight for an old equal arm type scale. It weighs exactly 1 oz. No holes, no markings, definitely looks to be poured, and is definitely lead. What do you guys make of it?

Also, while you are looking, what do you think of this nail? The big one in the middle of the picture is about 10" long, has an irregular shaped head, and is not taper cut on the point. I know its random, and not really possible to get a great idea of who, what , when, etc. But I figured that maybe someone had seen something like this before…
