Sterling Pendant & Bus Token

I was able to get out over the weekend, the usual suspects were present, Todd Lipe, Smittyman and Beez0404.

I was unable to find any silver coins, none, zero, zilch. I got plenty of Wheaties, and even dug a handful of Jefferson's... whilst looking for a buffalo, but no sliver coins appeared.

I was able to find a St. Anne pendant. It says "Creed Sterling" on the reverse. St. Anne was Jesus' grandma!

I also found a transit token. It says "Duke Power Co." on it, the local power company used to run the buses in Charlotte. This is the second one that I have found. It is smaller than a dime, so when I found this one, I knew exactly what it was. I used electrolysis to clean the corrosion off of it. I got before and after pictures, so that you can see how well it worked.

No grass cutting was involved... thank God.

Smittyman said yesterday, that he is going to get a mower to haul around, and offer free cuts to people that will let him hunt their yards. Sounds like a good scam to me.
