Just got the AT pro, yesterday. SO today I took it out to the same local park, i found my first Mercury dime. I detected for about 1 1/2hr, learning about the machine. At first it was really new to me, lots of different tones etc. I figure I dont have time to learn everything today, so i settled in Pro Coin mode. notched out everything from Iron to where I believe Zinc pennies were. Im sweeping along, finding some junk, some bottle caps, few coins copper pennies and dimes here and there. Mind you i already hit this area with my Bounty Hunter Time Ranger, so i was surprised and impressed that i am finding stuff with the AT pro. I thought i dug my first button, that round slightly domed thing with a squared hole in the center. Then I hit a signal that was STRONG, It gave a consistent bell tone. I knew it must be a coin, so i dug when i popped the plug up i saw something silver fall back into the hole. I looked down and in my head said WOW, my second Merc!. took it out rubbed it a little, just enough to see the date. 1937. Checked the hole with my PPer, filled it and got up and i just knew i had to take a picture of the dime with the At pro. Before getting the AT pro, i was thinking is the AT pro really that good? or is it just hype? however after this morning, Im a believer!
