Was detecting the beach and forgot I had my orange pro pointer in my pocket... did a quick wade in the water, came back out and remembered I had my pro pointer. Figured no problem it's waterproof, but decided to check. Wrong, would not turn on and it was full of water :(

It's been rinsed out with distilled water and is drying... will be calling Garrett on Monday.

Maybe my switch is leaking.

My carrot flooded :(

If it lasts for more than 4 hours, I think you're supposed to call your doctor or something.

Left it out in the sun all day with the battery cap off .. when I insert the battery it turns on and just squeels and vibrates and the light flashes randomly.

He's dead Jim!

Dont get them wet or feed them after midnight. Man that really sucks.

Yeah, it may have had a gremlin inside! lol..:laughing7: ..You would only understand it if you had seen the movie! Not making light of your situation and hope things work out for the best!

Garrett of course gave me an RMA to send it in. No surprise, great service.

I did ask if I should be only doing short dunks with the pro pointer and they insisted it should have been fine to swim with down to 10 feet.

So I guess I have a defective unit.
