If you can find a Eurotek Pro that would be one of the best in the $140 ish price range. The Teknetics Delta 4000 could be found for a good deal also. You can get a new Tesoro Compadre for $160 with lifetime warranty.

Hi guys,
I'm interested in buying a metal detector. My budget is around the100 dollars, and I'm looking for a second hand one.
I'll be glad to hear some recommendations about brands and where to buy then on the net.
Thanks a lot,
Roie

Roie, I would agree with Fletch on his recommendations but you need to spend a little more . It would be worth it in the long run.

if youre really going for cheap, ill tell you that my first machine was a bounty hunter pioneer 202. i still use that machine today on occasion. then i went to a pioneer 505. basically a 202 with more gizmos and gadgets. i use that as well. i have no complaints from either of those machines and have found a lot of cool coins and relics with them. you can find those used on craigslist for pretty cheap a lot of the time. or, you can just be patient and keep saving your money and buy a nice machine. id go with that option lol.

You can probably find a decent detector on Craigslist.com You don't show your City or I would do a search for you.

Thanks a lot. I'm from Israel, so for me the options are to buy on the web or pay a lot of money in stores.

Hi Roie,

In order to avoid a LOT of frustration, I would suggest to define your needs first of all.
Please also be aware of the fact that MD import to Israel can become cumbersome, as there is a good chance meches(I'm Israeli too, yes) will demand Ministry of Communications special permit to release it...

Good luck with the hobby:),

Alex
