I've both. The black widows have the most external sounds rejection. They tend to be heavy and hot. I prefer the gray hosts. Both are an excellent headset.

Correct. I have both also. I tend to use the Black Windows more as they allow me to concentrate more on the signals. Also by flopping the toggle switch I can "turn off" the signal from the detector to eliminate the threshold noise when retrieving a target.

Both headphones can be ordered with a blue tooth option to answer your cell.

I had a pair of Grey ghosts that were great, years ago. Recently got another pair, and they s#cked . The quality has gone downhill. And there's others that agree, if you read around on threads for this topic. Apparently started using cheaper inner components. If you're just using a "beep and dig" monotone machine, then you might not notice. But if you're using something like an explorer, which is so tune/sound specific, then you'd notice old versus new quality. Koss too went downhill a few years ago.

Try killer B's.

The GG's are more comfortable if your head is on the larger side I found (7 7/8" hat size) I tried killer b's and they squished my head too bad to even enjoy hunting with them.
You will like the GG NDT's. They sound great and have indecent adjustments.

I ordered the Black widows. It seems they block the most outside noise. Hopefully they are comfortable and sound good.
