What is the aim point for the AT Pro? I remember reading that it is the first square in front of the shaft, however I recently saw videos about people saying it's the front tip of the coil near the Garrett Symbol. Is the aim point different on the 5 X 8 coil than the 8 X 11?

Thanks all.

It's the first square. You can play with the pin point and verify.

If you use the pinpoint feature it's the first square. If you use the "wiggle" method it's the front edge of the coil.
Your aim point is that big silver dollar [emoji4]

I prefer niether, too slow. i sweep back and forth note target center, draw a line with edge of coil if it helps, step 90 degrees to line and sweep again...draw another line (real or imaginary) X marks the spot.

I only use poinpoint to determine size. An aluminum can will sound lile a gold ring but they sound very different in pinpoint... one sounds huge the other small.

Imagine the DD coil as a knife blade.. there is no center point only an edge.
