Hey guys I am new to this site, this is actually my first post.

I was detecting around southern Massachusetts in the woods when I came across this little bullet, would anyone be able to tell me what it is or maybe how old it is?? Thank you!

Almost looks like a tie ring at the bottom. Used for paper cartridges. Know the caliber? Good digs and good start! Good luck and welcome!

Brandon, welcome to TN. You will be able to get a lot of help from this web site and you can also gain a lot of knowledge from reading the forums. As for your bullet it looks modern to me. I don't see patina that is often found on older lead. If you have a set of calipers and can give dimensions that would be helpful. Using the lines of the paper and the dime as a reference it looks bigger than a .22 long so I'd have to guess maybe .32 S&W. Good luck and once again, welcome.
