I hit my usual weekend site this morning, and some kids were at the baseball field near where I have been hunting. I went to the other side of the area to stay out of their way.
This new area is intermixed with some fill dirt in some spots, so I usually save it as a secondary search area.

I was finding the usual clad 4-6" deep. Came away with a 50 cent piece, my second in as many weeks.

Then I had a deep signal, dug down a foot, and managed to pierce my find with my digger.

A very old pocket watch, minus the part that I hit with my shovel.

Still old, and still a first for me.

Enjoy the pics.

HH all!

A huge CongratZ!
I love finding watches and watch parts of all kinds and I have found a few over the years including a couple pretty complete pocket watches.
May your next one be whole and hopefully made of a precious metal!
