MD'ing with my Grandson

My Grandson is 5 1/2, he is a great kid. He loves Star wars, Hockey and Jake and the never land Pirates, So what I thought I would do is to bury some coins in plastic Easter eggs, and draw up a map something he can understand and go after them with the metal detector. he is off this coming week I can't wait,, I guess I should also bury some junk so our " finds" are realistic !

any thoughts or suggestions?

All GOOD THOUGHTS// We have a large 60-80 people family reunion each year I buried about 50 coins around the yard. when things get dull I dig out my 3 detectors, give a 1 min lesson and let them at it// It has been very popular over the years- One little boy told his father (away in the army "Dad-We gotta get a metal detector // there are quarters EVERYWHERE" ) lots of fun--Perry
ps: You need a pin pointer to speed things up and another kid can do the digging if to many)
