The best find of my short career came April 7th of this year when I dug up this key date 1894o Barber Dime. I found it with the Etrac.

My best find so far that I thought was a crazy find was an old glass gatorade bottle with the lid remains still on it! That's how I detected it :)

I have to say my best find is when my youngest son who is 12 yrs old comes running to me with a huge smile, screaming that he's just dug something good. That's what keeps me in this hobby

My best find since I've been able to come back to hunting after 20 years is someones bronze medal for USA wrestling. Still in the process of getting it back to the owner. I'm sure this is something he will consider important.

I have had a few good finds but the one that got me hooked was my first day in my back yard. 20131229_160330.jpg

I only just got into detecting this past Christmas when I was gifted a Tesoro by my wife. So far my best find is my very first one: a silver mens ring with a pretty CZ stone. Fits me, too!

Here's my entry Patriot.

An 1863 DIX civil war token my 3rd time out.

Got a permission and plotted a course between the old barn and old house.
30 minutes in following a trail of old rusted barbed wire fence and I dug the token.

That's when I truly realized the importance of research and old maps.

My best find was my first silver. I was stoked when I found a 1926 SLQ. I saw the Eagle on the reverse first.

My favorite find so far is the peace and calmness metal detecting has brought me over the years. It's gotten new through some tough times. Thank you for the contest.

My best find so far was this gorgeous 1889 silver dollar, found in the crawl space(-2 ft of clearance!) under an old saloon down in Arizona. Totally worth risking snakes, scorpions and 120 yr old dust to find. Totally overshadowed the standing Liberty half, but that was a first too.
