While at a local spot that I, and several other TNetters hunt... I couldn't help but notice that someone had dug little shallow plugs all over the nice green grass... and that they had left a bunch of yellow spots.

If any of you TNetters can guess who did this, I will give you a shiny silver quarter!

If you want to admit, that it was YOU, I will still give you the quarter!

This is funny, because we won't get booted for doing this, but it is an opportunity to learn something also.

Thanks for looking, and good luck on your hunts!

Someone who wants us to have a bad name. I see this here in Ann Arbor the person leaves there bottle caps on the picnic tables thin to show they cleaned up some junk but they tear up the grass eeehhhhh!!!!! I worry that people will think its me!!!! I'm waiting for the day the guy shows up with a back hoe and dynamite!!! I actually brought some grass seed last year to sprinkle on the spots!!!

If they aren't urine spots then someone should use a little water on their plugs in the heat of the summer.

I guarantee those aren't from a Tnet member.... Those digs look a little "friendly", if you know what I mean....

My guess...

Someone carrying a spray pump bottle of weed killer...
OR some other liquid that kills grass...
that was dripping.

:P

That is funny. Well done BWD.

These are NOT pet stains! Look at them... they are right in a row... I looked closely at them, they were plugs. There were about 30 in a relatively small area. Just trying to show what happens when you dig small plugs in dry dirt.

Probably me, but most of my plugs are bigger and I only did the grass area after it rained, mostly really close to the sidewalk

Keep swinging my friends!

That is not unusual.... I see spots like that all the time and around here after the next rain they most often green up again.. I have seen many deep plugs that brown up as well. It's an obvious plug and the guy had good intent unlike those that don't bother to even try and clean up... I most often cut a flap and go below the roots with my digger but often times the flap will brown up for a cpl weeks. There have been times I could follow myself for a few days until the flap greened up again and I was embarrassed it was me. I have always taken pride in trying not to leave a trace I have been there...

Most guys don't go back to places they hunted and therefore don't don't if their plugs turn brown, all they know is they cleaned up well and it looked good when the left...
