I dont use leather and I bought a new set of Garrett Master Sound headphones for around $25.00 and to my surprise... they have leather all over them so I'm selling them.
The killer b's also have lamb skin.

I've been considering KOSS QZ-99 for their price. The nugget busters and the jolly rogers also looked cool and very compact but bu on the pricey side and I'm not sure what the material on them is. Maybe I'll just use the Apple earbuds For now.

Can anyone that uses these chime in?

Thank you.

I like this thread, it's entertaining. Many manufactures cover the headphones with vinyl and call it leather as they can charge more for them as many people know leather is more expensive. I don't really care what covers the gel.

I've got a pair of the "real leather" ones that have tiny pieces that break off and get all over my neck and clothes. A huge percent of these genuine leather ones like mine are no more than simple pleather a lot like the material they use on atv seats and football helmet ear pieces.

Wow; I'd be pretty upset if my Killer B's did that. I've sweated in the sun for quite a few hours with 'em, and for many weeks already. The leather is still soft and comfortable, and looks perfect. I just wipe 'em down once in a while.

My Garrets seems to be made of a synthetic material and have not fallen apart on me in water or land. Ask the manufacturer if unsure.

I am not sure why this post was deleted but I'd like to once again welcome JeremiahEdward to the forums.

To answer the OP, there are hundreds of commercially available headphones that aren't covered in leather and if you do a Google search you can find a lot of reviews for any of them.

I use earbuds myself. I know that many here feel that they don't do the job bu I am happy with them. Good luck in your quest.

The Detector Pro line of headphones would work just fine for the OP and are great detector headphones. That is if he is also not opposed to Oil. Plastic is a byproduct of Oil and the headphones cups on most headphones are plastic. :dontknow:

I don't believe that any of the less expensive headphones have any leather. Not until you get up to something like the Sunday headphones do you get leather.
