Nice coppers, now go get something that glitters! Looking forward to more of your posts since you guys do have the serious treasure/history to dig over there, and tend to find some outstanding items.
As Tom says, thanks for taking the time to share with us and good luck out in the field.
been out today and used a new technique which worked wonders also i got a hot tip a guy lost his wedding ring 40 years ago he said i could keep it if i found it so im searching on the ponds edge lots of hooks and weights to find
(if you find your detector going a bit nuts because of lots of targets or mineralisation get your pro pointer and scan the ground the targets close to the surface will beep and you can dig it precisely after getting the shallow targets there will be less interference and make detecting a lot easier use it in an area with clumps of targets)
lots of garbage in the area so its going to take time to clear it all also the hunters was out on the opposite field spooking my dog with the gunfire so i had to call it a day
im in the same spot working the area still finding a lot of the old ringpulls it used to be a picnic hotspot so lots of pulltabs and foil but since its been a fishing pond lots of weights too i found some coins on the area and expect to find more i got some 1/2 pennys they are hard to find and i got 2
todays finds also i got approached by this miserable old guy who said i could destroy the dam, first of all its a ponds edge and secondly diging small precise holes and filling it back in properly cant cause a failure he wasnt even the land owner he just seemed to pick on me
not been out in a while the weather has been horrible but i managed to do a weekend hunt also got my new markers so i can dig up to 12 holes at once but only 6 is advisable for me so 12 holes i found all garbage but then boom my first mini coin spill a clad 2p and these little guys there hard to find and i got 2 of them
