Shouldn't hurt, I think what typically creates a dried out plug is the lack of moisture on the grass roots after exposing them to the air.

Save yourself some money and get a bottle of "Superthrive".

Couple drops PER GALLON and you're set for a long time, and
it's probably far better than MG.

I bet the lawn will be dotted with darker green spots all over the lawn. But just plain water on the roots will probably ease the dry out.

The smell of fish in the superthrive may attract critters that redig your plugs. just a though?

Just spray "sorry" and an arrow pointing at the hole.

For a while, it will be hilarious.

Not a chance. It's one (I use 2) drop(s) per gallon.

using water is more than enough, The number 1 reason for dried out grass/plug is because of the separation caused by cutting/digging which causes the plug to dry out. If you spray the plug with 4-6 sprays of water before putting it back in, the grass should be just fine.

The MG will make your lawn turn green but will kill the microbe's in the soil. Superthrive will turn the lawn green and feed the microbe's.
Grow your soil first and everything you plant in it will grow.

Park has a auto watering system of tubes at the base of a tree. One tree was missing. I was considering planting something there. Oh my mind was spinning out all sorts of stuff. Your post now keeps me occupied for hours Everytime I see it lol.

Started with a Garrett. I think I've probably tried everything make and model from 1977, all the way to the up to the E-trac and GPX 4800.
Nothing new as for me now, I am pretty much handicapped.

Miracle Grow is mostly nitrogen The first number of the 30 -10-10. So thats a hot (chemically speaking) application. Cooler weather it's good. but will look like dog spots if not careful. the next 2 numbers are phosphate, ( used for blooming help...ya don't need it for lawns, and the last is potassium. (for building roots).
But ...Superthrive is mostly vitamins and minerals. Awesome and at 12.00 a bottle, it lasts forever. drops per gallon... and it won't burn in higher temperatures!

Your over thinking it. Just learn how to dig and replace a good plug and don't hunt public places when it's too dry out if you can't leave it like you found it.

I always pee on the spot after I fill it, the only problem is that I excrete testosterone ( my body makes too much)
and then it attracts any female who walks near it

You could throw some marijuana seeds in the holes. Keep an eye on the growth, and when the time is right,... "BLAMO!!!" Call the cops on the joint and when the "Growers" are getting hauled away by the cops, you can soon go in there and dig the living hell out of that place!

Actually, Jeff is right as you can put a bit of pee in some water and putting it in a sprayer will do well.
