Hello Eveyone,
im curious to find out more about the history of the development of detectors. I would like to try and establish a timeline for myself -just for my own information.

Firstly...

1) what company first introduced with the pull / push trigger? I have an old Whites with the trigger. trigger fwd = AM.

2) when did the first S rod design come out?

3) What company made the adjustable rod length and locking collars.

4) whos idea was the VDI?

there will be more questions as we go along.

thanks
Chub

1st - I noticed this was your very first post Chub - so, Welcome Aboard! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

2nd - I searched

and found Just for Fun! Metal Detector History Part 1 (Sep 23, 2011, 01:07 PM)
