I pulled this out of a yard with a home dating back to the mid 1800's. My first thought was that it resembles a modern day wedding band. It's flat on the inside, with a slight curve on the outside, much like one. There is a destinctive solder mark that was used to fuse it together. For all I know it could be just a typical copper fitting. Any thoughts? 1494019449757.jpg 1494019460593.jpg

Looks like a copper ring to me. Whether or not it's meant for a finger, i don't know

COULD BE AN OLD "POORMANS" WEDDING BAND -ive found brass ones from the 1800s
Slaves sometimes were allowed to wear copper or brass ones down south when married

I've found lots of old "fitted/repaired" rings with the solder seems like the one you found. You'll often see this in silver and gold rings as well.
