Gold & The VDI Quandary

Gold is not like coins where a modern dime would have a consistent reading under most normal circumstances.
There is no such thing when it comes to gold, too many sizes, configurations, alloys and more so of course you can't trust a VDI if you are looking for specific and uniform numbers or conductivity ranges....because there are none.
He mentions all this but for most it is obvious if they have any experience in this hobby at all.

For newbies that test their wedding ring and just assume all gold rings would come in exactly the same this would be helpful...and there are those types out there.
Noobs...they can be so silly and cute at the same time.
Eventually even they learn how wrong and ignorant this kind of thinking actually is.
