The sphere shaped object could possibly be a pin that held a wagon wheel (center pin)

The knife was found on private property adjoining Kings Mountain Battle ground, revolutionary war site. Trying to determine if it's a relic or modern.

No idea what the tin is.

I believe the knife is more modern. More pics would be helpful.
