Hey all!

We recently dug up this beautiful pewter (lead?) whistle in a mid to late 1800's house site.
I've found a little information on the dating (around 1850's-60's) and I've found a couple exact pieces as part of other collections, but I was wondering if any of you have seen one of these, have one, or have any further info on this beautiful piece! This is definitely one of the nicer items dug up here. :headbang:

We're in central VA just minutes from the original Michie Tavern Site before it was moved in the 20's.
