I don't think anyone would admit to it if they did. Does have the neat appearance of being on probation or parole, though.

WarBaby,
That is brilliant insight on your part. Do you have special insight into house arrest ankle monitors? lol

Been posted here many times. What are owners going to do, sweep their feet left to right as you walk. Some have said to use them in areas where detecting is banned, that will get you a nice hefty fine.

Thanks. Yeah, could tip over trying to swing that foot around. The other sandal should have a shovel point on the end.

Good for the beach I guess. The Arizona desert, not so much. Too many sharp and pointy things, and rattlesnakes! You should see the bottom of my hiking boots! I pull large thorns out of them regularly.

Hmmmm .. goofy yes.. but the notion.... how about a beach cart with the coil built into the bottom. Sand wheels out wide so cart bottom hovered say... 2" off the sand.. course it'd be a one-off design.. have to be pulse... I'm just sayin, as an engineer.. COULD be done. HAHA .. might look funny tho when you get a good hit and stop in an odd spot to pretend to set up for the beach just so you can sneak dig your target.. LOL .. I'm picturing this.. then the frequent moves to various spots..
