Found this ring metal detecting the west coast of Florida last year and it is a monster. It weights 27.88g and is a size 10 and is "Alejandro Tungsten". Biggest ring I've found in at least 5 years. Bet my ring is bigger than your ring!
Common guys and gals, lets see your big ones.
Winner receives Worldwide recognition!!!

Its been so long since I found a ring of any type, I forget what they look like in the wild.

Fun thread.

I'm already beaten here, my ring return that just doesn't seem to be happening:

Tue Aug 01 18-25-37.jpg

The championship ring is a honker, weighs 36.16 grams - measures 1 1/8" across and 1" wide on the top.

You keep the faith! Just keep going at it. Rings will come.

Being retired I really don't get out as much as I should.

I note that the big ones posted here are water finds. That kinda cements the need to hit water and dirt.

Back when I lived in NE Ohio, I was a land hunter only. But I lived less than two miles from Lake Erie beaches. I was flat delighted with silver coins, and rings really were pretty scarce on land. I pulled out of there back to the North burbs of Detroit and one of the treasure mags came out with a cover of 140 gold rings found in the beaches of NE Ohio.......

When I returned to the hobby, I was determined to hit the water too. You got water in Indiana?

Dang, that's a monster! Whenever I walk away from one of those really deep larger targets I always worry that I might be walking away from something unusual like this ring. :laughing7:

Heck! Don't say THAT. Everyone's nightmare...now I'll think twice before giving-up on one of those that keeps getting deeper and deeper and deeper. Has anyone ever found what the hell is way down there? My patience won't go down that far.
