So, I took a break from CRH (which has consumed me for the last few months) to detect a 60's decade yard belonging to friends from church. This was only the 2nd yard I've hunted besides family yards (I need to knock on some doors!). I found a 1967 quarter right away, and then nothing but trash for 1-1/4 hours. Finally a solid hit on my AT Pro and found this 1956-D Rosie about 4 inches down. Maybe this is a sign of more good things to come from MD!

Mike, Huge Congrats on your first silver coin! Bet you looked at that for quite a while after digging it! Bet that yard has more so don't be afraid to remove some of those trash signals cause silver likes to hide by that stuff!

First comes Silver
Then comes Gold.
The ratio of Silver/Gold
is 3 to 1, in my MD chronicles (beach hunting).
The older the site the better.
You can search for LINDAR maps of your area to help
identify old home sites. Use Property tax/Real-estate records
to identify owners for permission...and gold mine if owned by city/county/state gov
that doesn't have laws against MDing.
Congrats on first, of many, happy finds.
