I've been dying to go detecting but cold, snow, frozen ground has kept me from going. It warmed up to the 50s today so I stuck the Tejon in the van and headed to town to do some chores. On the way back, I stopped at a colonial site that I have hunted to death. I was hunting about 100 yards from the store site and after a long silence found a nice musket ball. I found a few piece of iron and then got a good signal. I flipped over the plug and a broke Indian Spearpoint rolled out. Next scoop of dirt and there was a silver disc looking back at me. I have found two cut realles on this site and thought that I finally had a whole one. Finally got my glasses on and it was a 1905 Barber Quarter. Not what I was hoping but my first Barber Quarter and first silver of the year. Great Day!

That’s an awesome coin, congrats. Plus lead and stone projectiles, that’s pretty cool.

Good luck this year sir!
