I’m sure this neighborhood park is a virgin park. I’ve been trying to figure out a safe way to get in there. It’s surrounded by homes from the 1900-1940’s. I decided to try this route and if approached I’ll tell them I work for the city and I’m doing tests to put in a FREE pool for the summer. IMG_2195.JPG IMG_2196.JPG

Go with a small group or go elsewhere. It's not worth it. Unless the group you go with brings a M1A1 Abrams battle tank.

90 percent of my hunting is in bad areas all over Los Angeles county which is everywhere in LA county :laughing7: I carry Pepper Spray all the time and I wear a bright yellow construction vest while hunting. Everytime I kneel down to dig, before I dig I look around me in all directions and keep looking as I am digging, Its unfortunate but its what I have to do.
Go detect the park, just keep an eye out and do it really early in the morning or on major holidays when nobody is around.

Truth1253, I do NOT go into Baltimore City to hunt. Did last year a couple times and caught a glimpse of younguns' giving me the look over and said enough of this. Lots of farm land up here still with STUFF on it. All kinds of stuff. Even good stuff. And no you need a tank, not that little toy.

I need to meet some farmers. Are they easier to get permission from?

I also have a XDS .45 in the truck, but I see what you’re saying.

I have the XDS .45 in my waistband under my shirt everywhere I go. These days even detecting you can’t be too careful

You guys have never had fun until you've had a pack of natives chasing you down throwing bricks and bottles at your truck just for being white and in their neighborhood. Ahh, the good ole days of the Miami Mcduffie riots. Gotta love a true savage.

In this day of fake news the headlines might be.

"White Treasure Hunters Invade to Steal Treasure from the Poor" They might even change the term White Treasure Hunters to "Trump Supporters".

Yes, and we would probably be the only ones that would stand during the playing of our "National Anthem" and Pledge Allegiance to the U.S. Flag. Oh, the names we would be called. I'd rather be called names all day, rather than to be thrown in amongst with the other mindless' mindset.

go early in the morning and get out by 9am. wearing the hardhat and vest is great but don't lie. Be vague. If someone asks, just say you are doing testing. If you have a cop ask you why you are dressed like that say for safety and to be highly visible. Don't stare at anyone and if there is a group or a single person on a cell watching you leave quick.

I can relate, I was working at the Richmond county courthouse in the Bay Area when it was announced that the jury in the Rodney King trial had found the white police officers not guilty. Demographically speaking it is a not white area. So the natives started their usual destruction, rioting, So the contractor shut the job down and told us too get the hell out of there. It was exactly as you said, except I did not stop at stop lights or stop signs and lucky for them none of them got in front of me because I would have ran them over like a opossum in the road. We could not go back to that job site for a week. Fond memories!

civil_war22, I carry the same weapon! Regardless, my head is constantly swiveling. Up here, have had more issues with bears and coyotes than people (knock on wood). Taking some risks yes, but nothing out there worth losing your life over IMO. Stay safe!

This is a great topic for discussion and one that I feel that I can add to. One thing to consider is getting a good group of guys, everyone pitch in 10 or 20 bucks and hire you a couple of off duty police officers to keep an eye on things. 4 hours of hunting for $20 would be worth it to me in this kind of place. Get 10 guys around and go "clean the park up".

Against The Wind, what about the Prozac hat?? :laughing7:
I used to go to some sketchy urban parks with Against the Wind. He gave me a hat that read "PROZAC" in big white lettering. His theory was it looked like it said "POLICE" from far away and if you got close we would look like a couple of crazies.... true story. Still wear my hat for good luck....
