This is safe for everyone . The dealers will not get in trouble if they are not mentioned.

Just trying to get a real gauge of an actual street price.
We all know the game dealers play with list price plus additional goodies at no cost.

This also does not violate the forum rules of mentioning dealers that are not supportive vendors since VENDOR names will not be mentioned.

Here is an example of the format:

Nox 600. $xxx.oo
Nox 800. $xxx.oo

DELIVERED TO YOUR DOOR COST

Lets see see the best price..

Not sure that's something that need be shared. The deal you make
with the seller is unique, and they are restricted from posting those
prices.

If I was a dealer I'd sure hope my customers wouldn't put me in that
situation.

I respect your statement. There is nothing worst then the feeling of being had. This has happened to me numerous times when I use to travel for my professional photography business. I would sit on an airplane next to a person who paid hundreds less then me so I started chatting and discovered “trade secrets “ that a frequent flyer knew that I didn’t.

A dealer wants to make money ... I want to keep my money. Bless his heart but it’s me an my needs before his/hers.

This is an excercise of getting the best bang for my buck. Knowing what is possible allows me to have a different negotiation stance with my dealer.

Cheers

metaldetector.com. who’s a sponsor. gives you a $100 gift card you can use in restaurants. If you have good credit, TD banks will give you $150 cash back on a purchase of $500 over three months on their credit card. Need to apply. Im sure other banks have similar offers. Thats effectively $250 off on the purchase. Provided you like to eat out.

Thanks to you guys that revealed the small gap in pricing. It gives us members some idea of the pricing available when we make the jump to the 600 or 800.

Hmm I wonder if a corporate or other discount other than the 15% minelab miltary discount was applied. Not p.o,d. In this modern day shopping market some people get better deals just like car buying.

Good post.
So,, in a few months, you think the Suggested Manufacturers Retail Price will go down?
A few years ago, the Suggested retail price for a CTX 3030, was $2,499. .

Today's listed price at Kellyco is $2,499. Not much difference. The dealer has the ability to give discounts or make it appear that you are saving money by throwing in extras. It isn't the price that has me waiting, it's the results.

An EQ800 just sold last night on ebay for $1370 plus $20 shipping.
I guess some guy just couldn't wait!

Some people have more money than sense. Nothing wrong with that...I value customers like that!

Excellent time to make some fast ca$h. Buy and sell enough times and you will make enough money to buy yourself a new one for free.!

As a retail store owner who has looked into becoming a Detector dealer i can say this. The metal detector manufacturers are selling detectors to the dealers at ridiculously high prices leaving no room to negotiate. Basically, in my eyes the only ones really making any money are the manufacturers. As a matter of fact, I see a day coming when the manufacturers will be selling directly to the public thru the internet and cutting out the dealers all together.

When you decide to purchase your detector please keep this in mind. Stores are closing left and right and people are loosing their jobs all because (I dare not pay a penny more than my neighbor for the same product)
