I just buy whatever I can afford with the clad at the coin store. Waiting until you have enough is a good idea. I also recycle the metal I dig and add that to the purchase power

I buy silver. Coins or bullion. I have a goal I am trying to reach weight-wise.

I'm putting it toward a walking trip in England with my wife. Yeah, it'll be just a drop in the bucket, but it's fun to think about and if we can even just have a pub meal on the Bounty Hunter a few years from now it'll be totally worthwhile!

I get around $6-7 on a decent day at a park. I usually grab a sandwich and soda to gain back all the weight I lost detecting. Lol

I usually wait till I have a $150 or so then I cash it in and either buy something I don't need but like or enjoy a few hours at the casino

I'm with others here, I do enjoy stacking some silver and prices are good for buying at the moment. I mainly just go with whatever I can get closest to spot.

My goal is a new pinpointer as the ole carrot is getting weird on me. I'd rather hit the road without my digger than not have a pinpointer , yes I'm getting spoiled.

I would’ve donated it to the homeless, via the Coinstar reject bin.

Considering old, silver coins are becoming pretty scarce in the field, using your clad to purchase older silver coins isn't a bad way to go if that's your thing. My own thought concerning clad is if you have to dig into your own pocket for your detector batteries, you're not trying.

I put all the clad in a big can and at the end of the year I process it into my bank account. Then I give that amount away during the coming year. Send some to charities. Always keep some singles and 5 dollar bills in my car for the street people. I really don't need it for anything. I'm generally hunting for gold rings and find a lot of change along the way. As I see it, the public lost it and now I can return it as I see fit. It also gives me a different dimension to metal detecting. Those lost coins I find might go to help children with disabilities, wounded veterens or aid medical research. The choice is mine. Its what I enjoy doing with lost clad.
