Has anyone here ever found a civil war token? Apparently there were 50 million minted with 10,000 different varieties. I found one with a capped bust on the obverse and army on the reverse. Also I don’t recall ever watching a video of someone finding one. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1540467094.293029.jpg

I found one dated 1863.
One side had the flag and read "The Flag of our Union".
The other side read "If anybody attempts to tear it down shoot him on the spot".

I found a CW era New York penny , here in CA at an old stage stop. Dated 1863 or '64 (I forget). I guess some of the eastern states started minting their own coins during the war. I've always valued that as a cool find :)

I found a 1863 Army + Navy token this year. Pretty neat find.
