Xterra 305 and jewelry

Hi! I just got my xterra 305 and used it for the first time today. only found a few things but I was wondering if this detector is capable of finding gold jewelry with the stock coil? im sure it is I just haven't found any yet.

also wondering how well it can do out west for prospecting. Thanks!!

It's a good machine and definitely can find gold jewelry, but doesn't have the prospecting mode like the 705 does.
I liked my 305 well enough that I upgraded to the 705.

I had the 705...it was a good detector. Uncle had the 305 and did fine searching certain sites, bit I got the 705 just in case I got to go out west...lol

ok great glad it can find gold jewelry! if I upgraded to the DD search coil at 18.75 then it would be better for gold prospecting right? would the size of the could make a big difference? as I can't find the 15" one online
