    where to start

    Good Day Everyone.
I am new to prospecting and metal detecting. I would like to know if there are any good places to do both in New York? I am a bit taken back by the lack of information about these topics in my state. any help and guidance would be appreciated.

its absolutely literally littered with them. Most towns by me used to have 3 times the current populations in the 1800's.
