Which shovel is that Truth? To have it break at that point is really a weird deal, and with what looks like minimal stress distortion on the rest of the shovel and handle. Iā€™d trim the bad part off both pieces and stick a stainless rod into both of them...then fry it all back together. That is, unless itā€™s under warranty!

No more Broken Diggers.

Of course I don't use Trench Diggers

the 13" Weeder, Not a Kellyco Item that I'm Aware, But Indestructible & Great in Hard Clay.

And

Kellyco 22x3" Long Handled Trowel
If you were to buy one of These :

Lay it Sideways, Hammer the Scoop into a U Shape

000aaa.jpg

It will outlast You

if you don't reinforce it by Reshaping, The Scoop will Eventually Bend Back,
if your Like me & Forget yourself and Use it to Pry Roots & Rocks.

You shouldn't bend the Shaft.

Stop hittinā€™ the gym brother, yer a little too burley for your own good. I have a NX5 (I think) I got from metal detectors.com, anyway, super heavy duty but my first time out with it, I bent it prying up a root, couldnā€™t believe it.
