Been following them for over a year now. Sort of works on the same principal as the Deus, with all the main detecting components stuffed into the coil. Your cell phone becomes the control module, which really helps to keep the price of the machine down since you don't have to pay for the control box. Initial unit is single frequency 7.5kHz. Pretty quick machine judging from a target separation video they released a while back. Depth looks decent also. I think they have been struggling to get the funds together to manufacture it, however. They recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to try to get the ball rolling. I imagine it would take a LOT to jump into the market and start competing with the current players. Good luck to them; I hope they can make it happen.

Actually a great idea using the smart phone unless it hits the water.
So maybe a waterproof smart phone case can be used to mitigate water intrusion.

Looks like they raised half their goal in one day! That's pretty good my only concern is the arm cuff design doesn't seem practical.

I would like to just buy the coil and use my Deus or any other shaft with it and just mount the phone.

I like how they tested/reviewed the coil depth, havent seen any review guy do it that way:dontknow:, seems like a great way to test depth

Keep in mind that once they get the money from their pledges, they are on the honour system to manufacture the machine and ship them to their backers. Not saying that their plan and Intentions aren't good & honorable, but things can happen along the way.

Not been on kickstart site til I saw this thread.
That could really hurt 3 people's feelings.
3 people have kicked in $5K for 25 detector package.
