Running a newer Whites MXT All Pro with the 10" DD coil that came with it. Looking at possibly a larger, deeper capable coil for relic hunting and am looking at the Detech 12x10 SEF or the 13" Ultimate. Undecided as to which. Any comment or suggestions from those who have used either coil? Not a lot of action going on in the Whites forum so I figured I'd toss it out here.

Used the ultimate 13 inch coil on my mx5 for a while, excellent pinpointing, clean signals , lightweight
covers a lot of ground, it pretty much did everything my stock coil did but was a bit deeper 2 plus inches...I sold it here to a member due to it being too big to take in my backpack.

Thanks!, and thanks for sharing your experience with it. I've been here about two years but do more reading than posting. Had to take a hiatus from the hobby for a while and just recently got back into it. The more I studied on this, I finally decided on the 13" and just ordered it.

It's here, it's here. :icon_cheers:

Didn't quite think too much about how much bigger it would be compared to the Whites 10" DD. It is noticeably lighter and a quick air test says it's working fine too with good strong signals and solid VDI numbers.

Now to get it out in the field but we have rain, heavy at times, forecast for the next 5 days solid so an old homestead I'm going to hunt will have standing water for who knows how long. :BangHead:
