My wife is the office manager at a grocery store that has a coin star type machine that she checks. What a find ! Now if I can just dig one.lol She also has found a Peace Dollar, two Indian head pennies. Air test Equinox 800 VDI # on the Trime is 19. On my Fisher F75+ is 57.

Thanks for the photos!
That lil' silver coin is on my bucket list...!
But I've been detecting, rather than checking those machines...!
Going to have to change my hunting strategy, huh? :laughing7:

It's kind of puzzling why the US Mint would ever issue such a small coin. ???

I would imagine this and similar sized coins such as the half dime had a high rate of handling loss compared to other coins of the era.

I would be shocked to dig one, but coinstar? Wow, nice score! Coinstar is my favorite part of my trips to Walmart.
