Hi everyone.i just got permission to search a property here in Manchester, Ma. It was a farm and a mill back in the 17 and 1800’s. A developer bought the property and cleared it. It is going to be left vacant for a while and I got permission to detect as much as I want. The ground is still frozen so I was only able to detect in the woods behind the property today. I found what I think is an old fuel pump and a very heavy “disc”. Any help as to what the disc is would be great! Also, any tips as to how and where I should search the property? The original farmhouse from the late 1600’s is still standing. It is privately owned and is to the right of the property I’m searching. I believe the site that I am searching was part of the fields..there is an old, stone, raised foundation towards the back of the property on the edge of the woods. Should I concentrate on that or sweep the cleared lot where the field used to be? Do both until you find something of more value. Can't help with the disc.
