I was exited to pull this from the ground. But when cleaned up, became a little let down. Its mangled. Im sure i didnt do it any favors. Im looking for an I.D by matching the head, and wing. I cant really make out much more. Is it civil war? Indian wars? I dont really know. All i do know is, that it deserved better.

Looks Civil War era to me. I found 2 in my yard like that with backmarks that dated to the 1860's. Nice find, that button looks like it was damaged before it was dropped, so don't feel too bad
