Button ID Help

Hi,
I found this button in a field in south jersey.
This button is approximately 1/2” and I’m thinking it’s from a cuff.
Can’t find any details on the back , but I do see the eagle and possibly a shield.
Anybody have any thoughts on the ID of this?

The soil up here does a number on artifacts. Very frustrating. Sorry, I can’t help with an ID but I can sympathize.
