Got out during all the craziness and detected a 1905 home site. About 10 inches deep got a 88 signal on my at pro. Found these old specs......which was a first for me.

If you can untangle that mess, and find where the bridge above the nose piece is, you may see markings for what the metal is made of. A lot of those old glasses were either gold, or gold filled! The only other places that may be marked are the sides closest to the lenses. You may have found some real treasure there. There are people that go to estate sales, garage sales, antique stores etc. looking just for old eye glasses for this reason!
