In summary heres what they are hinting in the trailers...

Lightweight
Inbuilt battery
Unique coil
Flexible technology ( "it really is a game changer")

feel free to add

Something I noticed.... "Sports Division" leads me to believe this will be at a entry level price range....

Hope it’s not yellow.

LOL. It is a good question though. It would be nice if the manufacturers could offer camo, colour & black/ grey. It would be interesting to see if it would affect sales...did anyone NOT buy a Vanquish because it is red?

I'd really like to see Garrett up the competitive game. They've fallen behind as we know but if they don't come out with a multi frequency rival to Minelab's machines, they'll still be behind. It's only through strong competition that we all benefit with more capable equipment.

Just the view from my foxhole...

Looks good so far - Multi-Freq - Entry-Mid level detector
Zlink wireless

Like the Viper coil - nice midsized coil

Not sure if its rain proof yet ? - That would be a bummer

Rain proof. Multi frequency that Minelab didnt take to court! $499 possibly $425

I'll give Garrett a lot of credit for keeping pace with the competition. I was worried the American companies were doomed but this is a huge step in the right direction.

I don't feel that Garrett has kept up with the competition. I think they have just out done them on advertising. I really hope the Apex gets them up to the performance level of the competition. It would be nice to see a USA company produce a Top Tier detector and not just another entry level machine.

I think this is more than an entry level machine. More of a 2nd tier level detector. Looks like a great upgrade from the original.
