Hey,

Iā€™ve got a minelab Safari, until now iā€™ve had no problems whatsoever. Last week I put a new brake pad because the shaft moved when detecting. With the new brake pad on it stil had to much room to move. I cleaned the detector thoroughly and with that I cleaned of al the black stuff that was in between the shafts.
Anybody has an idea what I can do to make sure the brake pad wil brake enough ?

Gr Kevin

Where did you get the pressure block for the lock (what you call the brake pad) There are different sizes of pressure blocks for different detectors.

I got the right one for sure. Maybe the steel has shaved of to much
