Hi everybody-
I have been getting a lot of emails about kids and metal detecting. I can just say, YES! Get them involved. Some of you have been following River and my adventures and he is out of his mind about the hunt and the history and would rather do that than play video games! And I get to be “cool” a little bit longer. He has found some incredible stuff this month and we have really connected over metal detecting. Here’s us in action. And some of the great stuff

Just got our 13 year old son a Minelab Vanquish . Waiting for the smoke to die down before we go out and get some “fresh” air and swing some coils.

Mine is 5yrs old and I'm leaning towards the nokta version of a kids machine . I was going to go with the whites version, but just wasn't all that appealing to him with light up lights
