Has anyone tried looking for Viking Gold in the waters?
When an important Viking died they would put their body on a boat, fill it with silver and gold and food and swords, light it on fire and push it off into the water.
That boat would sink a hundred yards off the water's edge and all the loot would sink to the bottom.
Coins, goblets, jewelry, gems, all sitting there waiting to be found. I'm sure a small part has been recovered, but treasure hunters usually look for the bigger ships, not the small boats they would send out their dead on.

It is obviously very old, has a Viking like cross, is heavy, likely copper, and as far I can tell the cross is embedded in an amber like substance.

Could the amber actually be enameling?

there are Viking items (carved rocks etc) near waters that ive often thought of trying to do waters near by
just not a priority
