What is the best type of sand scoop for beach detecting?

i've only ever made mine , it's just a hand scoop made from a 4 ltr heavy duty plastic water container , with bottom cut out and 10mm holes drilled in it to let the sand out.
it suits my needs , and only cost me $4.
