? ? ?No standard answer to this one. Bigger the coil the deeper it goes. You also lose sensitivity to smaller targets. Larger coils do not do as well as a smaller coils in trashy areas. In average ground a concentric coil will give you better depth. If your soil is high in mineralization then a widescan DD coil will do better than a concentric. This answer scratches the surface to your question.
