I use the XL-1 and the DX-1 pinpointers on my XLT and DFX.
Let me put it this way, when I got my new DFX and was waiting for the DX-1 probe in the mail,
I wanted to drag the XLT into the field just to use its XL-1 pinpointer ;D
I am spoiled after using them and never want to use anything else.
Whites sent me a free Bullseye 2 with the DFX and I just let a friend use
it. I am done with standard pinpointers.
That's just my experience with them :)

I used the Vibra Probe for a long time before getting a DX1. I can't think of anything else I have used that comes close to it. The only draw back it has, is the weight of the probe. If I am out for awhile I stick the probe in my pocket to lose the extra weight.

I have a DFX and have used this in line probe for about 2 years and would not trade it for another
for anything....
My friend has a bullseye and he asks me to find some of his targets because its so much easier
with mine than with his....
I have not noticed much of a difference in the weight... I do take it off when hunting the beach because
there is no reason for one when I'm using a shovel....
That said, if I am in a yard or park I will not hunt without it....
If you can afford the money its well better than the hand held type..
I had a vi-bra probe once and it seemed to me that I had to touch the item before it went off, this one usually
gives me 1-1/2 to 2 inches from the target... you also have a regular and all metal mode and the number
will still come up and correspond to the target on your screen... its like having a hand held version of your Whites metal detector in your hand when your probing...

I had a standard pinpointer with a long tip before this one and forgot and left it on the bleachers at a school
yard an hour from home....
can't do that with the Sun Ray....
great item can't say enough...

bad thing, you really can't get much of a discount on these, I tried. you're better off just buying it close to home

If mine broke tomorrow on on my Minelab ex2, i would order one immediately the next day.

Had mine for about a year and its a great product getting about 3 inches of depth. I did buy a bullseye 2 because sometimes when i dig a hole you don't know where in the hole it will be, and i wanted to try it. Figured i would have it all covered.
